I'm very thankful that Culver's wasn't around Fond du Lac when I went to college, or played basketball, and even more thankful there isnt one in the city of Chicago, or I'd probably be in some cheese-filled casket by now. Some people fall in love with fancy pants places with wine and expensive vodka-soaked meals, well I love Culver's! And it really doesn't matter which Culver's you go to its all the same...the usually friendly service and amazing food. I think they clear out the high schools to fill their staff, while hitting up all the other friendly old ladies of the world who don't work at Wrigley Field. The free refills aren't helping anyone because when I hit Culver's I have every intent to pig out. It's so rare that my friends and i get to go to Culver's so we usually make every trip count! Culver's is famous for its butter burgers and frozen custard....which means nothing to me, besides the burgers and ice cream tasting really good. I dont generally eat fish but they do an amazing fish fry, while their other baskets are also just as good...usually good sized meals with fries. I often go for the burgers, which are big, tasty, and generally for me involve bacon and cheese at some point. Again, all the meals kick ass. My crew and i usually grab the double bacon butter burgers delux which are amazing, although the fries lack. Generally I like my fries to have a distinct taste, but these are just...fries. Oh well. Then comes the family-size cheese curds....yes I have a thing for cheese, look at me, i'm huge! Its a natural resource for guys like me. nevertheless a meal like this generally keeps you full and satisfied for much of the day. And for some reason you're able to stuff some frozen custard down your already full tummy, the turtle sundae is excellent! I nominate Culver's as one of my happiest places on earth!

Very good burgers, chicken, custard, and fries. The unfortunate thing is that they're getting pretty expensive. A chicken strip meal is getting close to $10. Everything is going up in cost these days but for some of these prices you might as well go to a local sit down joint.

I wish the service here was a little more consistent. And I wish they could manage to make a concrete mixer that I didn't have to drink with a straw and find pieces of plastic they cracked in it.

Yup, butterburgers! Simply amazing and a custard to match. If this was on the east coast I would be enormous, thankfully it's not. Highly recommend if you are ever going through Fond Du Lac.
